| Description | : | The mixed use project was submitted to the international design competition opened by Benetton in order develop a mixed use building including commercial, office and residential areas on their plot in Teheran, Iran.
The architectural design is developed by seeking energy efficiency solutions suited for the specific characteristics of the city. Minimization of energy consumption is aimed by proposing design features such as, double layer façade with sunbreakers and air purifying filters, central atrium allowing natural lighting and air circulation, PV panels on the roof, PV glass on south facing façade, green roof layer, office depths less than 10m to enable overall daylight penetration.
The residences are planned on several floors facing the view of Alborz Mountains in contrast to the program requiring all of them located next to each other on the top floor.
Recycled steel structure, commonly used in Iran, on top of concrete basements is preferred as the load bearing system whereas local granite is chosen as façade and floor cladding. |
